FAQ

  • Unwind is class is a great place to start if you want to ease your way into it. The room is heated to 90° and the class is slow-paced and gentle. You’ll leave you feeling relaxed and stress-free, it’s the perfect class to begin your hot yoga journey!

  • Yes, we use infrared heating panels at our Mequon and Oconomowoc hot yoga studios for all of our yoga and mat Pilates classes! Our infrared heat panels are placed directly in the ceiling, they’re so sleek you might not even notice them! Unlike forced air heat that just creates warm air around the body, infrared heat actually penetrates deep into the body’s tissues and core. The result is a much more comfortable and healthier hot yoga and mat Pilates experience that’s not only energy-efficient, but provides a number of health benefits too!

Infrared heat detoxifies your body, lowers your blood pressure, supercharges your immunity, boosts circulation, induces deep relaxation, relieves pain and purifies your skin.

  • Heat helps your muscles relax and open up, which helps you get a deeper stretch. It also helps detoxify the body, improves circulation, increases your heart rate for a better cardiovascular workout and improves strength by putting muscle tissue in optimal state for reorganization. All in all, a hot yoga or heated mat Pilates class will do much more for your body than a non-heated class.

You are reshaping and creating a healthier body and healthier mind!

  • Arrive 10-15 minutes before class with a plastic or metal water bottle, yoga mat, long towel (beach towels work great) to cover your mat and a small sweat towel. No mat or towel? Don’t sweat it! Yoga mats & long towels are available at the studio.

  • The hot room is a silent, phone free space for meditation and relaxation before, during and after class. Personal belongings and phones can be stored in our lockers during class.

  • We’re a barefoot studio, once you arrive, you can kick your shoes off and settle in. Wear clothes that you feel comfortable sweating in and that allow for a wide range of movement. Sweat-wicking workout clothing that is form-fitting tends to work best.

  • Any new movement practice can be challenging, listen to your body and rest as needed. Try to stay in the room for the duration of class to acclimate to the heat.
